How many beads does each gift take?
| Gift | Stitch | Beads | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Earrings or a pendant | Brick stitch | 40–127 (per figure) | A small, quick gift |
| Slim bracelet | 4-row peyote | 352–384 | People who stack bracelets |
| Wide bracelet | 6–8 row peyote | 540–784 | Detailed motifs like snowmen |
| Loom bracelet | Loom | About 1,000 | A crisp, picture-like band |
| Tree ornament | Perler / Hama | 109–256 | Kids and the whole family |
Delica 11/0 comes to about 200 beads per gram, so a 1,000-bead bracelet takes around 5 g. If you are making several gifts, the bead calculator adds them up.
1. Brick stitch earrings or a pendant
Christmas tree, snowman and star figures take the fewest beads of any gift here, which makes them ideal for the last minute. For a pair, stitch the figure twice and add a loop to the top row. The steps are in the brick stitch earrings guide.
2. A peyote Christmas bracelet
Four-row bracelets carry small motifs like candy canes and string lights; six and eight rows leave room for snowflakes, Christmas sweaters and snowmen. All are even-count peyote and about 17 cm long, and you can shorten or lengthen them in the editor to fit a wrist.
3. A loom Christmas bracelet
Snowflakes, reindeer, gingerbread men and Nordic sweater motifs look as crisp as pixel art on a loom. It takes more beads, but the stitch itself is simple; the bead loom guide covers the setup.
4. A name bracelet
A name is often the most personal gift. Type it into the name bracelet maker, pick Christmas colors and the pattern is ready.
5. A bracelet from a photo
Turn a pet or family photo into Delica colors with the image to loom pattern tool. A bracelet is narrow, so close-ups with a plain background work best.
6. Perler and Hama tree ornaments
The Santa, reindeer, snowflake, stocking and gift box designs each fit one large square pegboard. Lay out the beads, iron them, add a thread and hang it on the tree. For your own design, use the Perler bead pattern maker.
