Frequently asked questions

Which beads do these patterns use?

The figures and bracelets are made for Miyuki Delica 11/0 cylinder beads, the pegboard designs for 5 mm Perler beads. The pegboard designs work with Hama Midi too; every Perler color page lists the closest Hama matches.

Are these patterns free?

Yes. Open any pattern in BeadDot to edit it, or download the free PDF with the lettered chart, the materials list and the word chart.

How many beads do I need?

The figures use between 60 and 131 beads, less than 1 g of Delicas; the 6×72 bracelets use 432 beads, about 2 g. The pegboard designs use 82 to 229 beads and each fits one large square pegboard (29 × 29).

Are the pegboard designs good for kids?

Placing the beads is easy, but an adult should do the ironing. The small beads are a choking hazard, so don’t leave very young children with them unattended.

Can I change the colors to match my beads?

Yes. Open the pattern in your studio and repaint any bead with the paint tool.
