Ready-made bead color palettes

No photo at hand? Start from one of these. Each tone shows the closest Miyuki Delica and TOHO Treasure code; click a code to open its color page.

How it works

  1. Upload a photo

Your browser shrinks the picture and splits it into small squares. Nothing is sent to a server.

  2. Find the main colors

The squares are grouped in a color space close to how eyes see, so a gradient keeps its main tones instead of collapsing into its most common one.

  3. Match them to beads

Each group becomes the closest bead in the catalog you pick. Change the number of colors, copy the codes or start a pattern with them.

Tips for a good bead palette

  • Include at least one light, one medium and one dark tone; that is what gives a pattern depth.
  • Screen colors never match a bead exactly. Check a color card or the finish on the color page before you buy.
  • Mix matte and shiny beads on purpose: the same tone looks very different with another finish.
  • Four to six colors are usually enough for a bracelet; more get lost in a small pattern.

Bead color palette FAQ

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The picture is read and processed in your browser; it is never sent to a server or stored.

Which bead brands does it support?

Miyuki Delica 11/0, TOHO Treasure 11/0, and Perler and Hama midi beads. Each color’s code, name and finish come from the real catalogs.

Are the colors exactly what the beads look like?

Close, but not exact. Catalog colors are on-screen values; a real bead depends on its finish, the light and your screen. Compare with a color card for important pieces.

Why did I get fewer colors than I asked for?

Tones that are very close can land on the same bead, and then they merge into one. Try a more varied photo or raise the number of colors.

How do I make a pattern with this palette?

“Make a pattern with these colors” turns the photo into a loom pattern in just these colors and opens it in the BeadDot editor. For peyote or brick stitch, use the photo-to-pattern pages.
