Converting is only the start
Most converters hand you a picture and stop there. In BeadDot the pattern stays in your account as a project you can edit.
Edit bead by bead
Clean up the conversion with brush, fill, selection and mirror tools; undo history keeps every step.
Place it row by row
Follow mode shows the next bead and its color and saves your place, so you never get lost on a big piece.

Tips for a better MARD bead picture
- Crop the picture to its subject first; empty background is wasted beads.
- Fewer colors make a cleaner pattern. 6–10 colors are usually enough for a character.
- Iron on medium heat without steam, in small circles for 10–20 seconds; stop once the beads melt slightly into each other.
- Let the piece cool under a heavy book after ironing so it stays flat.
Frequently asked questions
Is the photo to MARD bead pattern converter free?
Yes. The converter, the pattern editor and follow mode are free, there are no ads and you don’t need an account to start.
How many MARD colors are there?
Our list has 291 MARD colors; codes are a letter series and a number (A1, B12, H7). If your kit has fewer colors, lower the color count and swap the ones you don’t have in the editor.
How do MARD codes show up in a pattern?
The editor and the PDF write them as MARD-A1, so they never mix with Hama codes such as H12. The color chart pages show the code the way MARD prints it (A1).
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Only when you choose “Edit and start placing beads” is the resulting pattern saved to your account; the image itself is never stored.
